12 weeks ’til Ironman Boulder

Time has FLOWN by so fast!! It seems like it was just October and we were registering for IMBoulder and now we are only 12 weeks away!!

This week was a recovery week that didn’t include a much working out. There was very little #sbrlove this week, but it gave me an opportunity to get A LOT of other things done that have been neglected lately.

Swim: Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Bike: 26 miles…It was such a beautiful day on Saturday, we just went for a nice and easy trail ride.

Run: 3 miles…I guess it is more than none 😉

Strength Training: 45 minute TRX class that was mostly all core work

Bonus Accomplishments:

  • I deep cleaned our entire house…moving all the furniture to clean under, over and around everything. It feels so good to have a super clean house again!!
  • I put all my winter clothes away…and wouldn’t you know we are suppose to have lows in the upper 30s this week…GO FIGURE 😦
  • I got a lot of shopping done to restock everything…cosmetics, groceries, household items, sports nutrition, mental preparation (books), new slip covers, etc.
  • I have lesson plans done through the rest of the school year (only 11 more days with students…13 total), grading complete and tests, study guides, etc. written.

Workout Totals: 3 hours…unless you consider deep cleaning the house to be exercise, then you can add another 9 hours 😉

  1. Sounds like you had a FABULOUS week!! Well, maybe except for the cold weather coming….. I’m de-cluttering my kids’ rooms and we got the garage sort of cleaned out on Saturday. It’s such a refreshing feeling, isn’t it?! I’m actually taking today off to get some work done…

    1. Spring cleaning is such a great feeling!! It definitely doesn’t feel like spring right now, but hopefully it warms up these next couple of days. I hope you get lots of work done today!! 😉

  2. We had SNOW this morning-eek! With all that cleaning and school prep done, you’re going to be so ready for your last few builds. Does your schedule have you start tapering three weeks out?

    1. Snow…yuck!! We will be tapering 4 weeks this time since we are going to be in Colorado for the 3 weeks before race day. 😉

    1. Thanks Kelsey!! I was bummed this morning to have to take some winter running gear back out of storage due to the 36F temps. Hopefully that was a fluke and I can put it all back away after washing it. I’m almost to single digits with the kids…yippee!!
