I’ve intentionally held off giving weekly updates for Ironman Louisville until this week, but I do love weekly updates. Thirty seems like a good number to start counting down from! Last week I hit the “reset button” in so many different places in my life. I was able to ease back into a training routine (after being sick), put some life stresses to rest, celebrate turning 41, enjoy spring break with a relaxing week at home sans work, spring clean the house (we even moved the fridge and stove to clean behind them), and adjust to daylight savings time. Now begins the final push to the end of the school year. Only 11 more weeks, but who’s counting?! 😉
Swim: 5300 yards

Bike:

Run: 12.6 miles

Strength Training: 45 minutes + 10 minutes of core strength daily
Weekly Totals: 10 hours & 46 minutes
Quote of the week:
“When it rains, look for rainbows. When it is dark, look for stars.”
Attitude of Gratitude:

How was your week? Do you look for the rainbows and the stars?
I’m so glad you’re feeling better…and Happy Birthday!! I’m hitting the reset button this week too. I had let myself fall back into poor eating habits and haven’t been feeling that great-leading me to have a cold and sore throat these last few days. Eating healthy is a bit more work, but worth the effort! Have a great week 🙂
Thanks Amy! I hope pressing the reset button has you feeling better soon! Eating healthy and getting my weight under control is next! It is definitely worth the effort!
I am not a triathlete but I love your blog for the positivity you exude. It’s so inspiring! Last week I worked way more hours than usual and my body was feeling the stress. I got to go for a ski on both Saturday and Sunday at the end of that long work week and I felt so much better! Happier and more alive. I just love getting to be active outside.
Thank you so much! While I do love triathlon, I always try to balance all areas of my life. Looking for gratitude and positive even when faced with challenges makes all of us better people. The over arching goal is to be better than I was yesterday in all areas of life! I’m SO glad you got out for some skiing (aka exercise), fresh air, endorphins, and hopefully some sunshine! Cheers to a less stressful week this week! ❤️
30 weeks! Wow that seems so far away…I know it will be here before we know it though!! 🙂 Great week!! Keep it up!! My week was good…it started in Mexico but we got back and just got right back into the swing of things!! 🙂
It does seem so far away Leslie! It looked like you had a blast in Mexico! Glad you had a great vacation and were able to return to normalcy without any hiccups! 😉
