2021 week 47: post race travels + home

Last week we spent the majority of the week traveling from Tempe to home with a stop over in Colorado to visit family for Thanksgiving. It was a great way to deflate from Ironman Arizona and begin the off season. There was zero swimming, cycling, and running last week, which was strange, but good to reboot the system in preparation for 2022.

Quote of the week:

“Traveling in the company of those we love is home in motion.”

~Leigh Hunt

Swim: 0 yards

Bike: 0 miles

Run: 0 miles

Strength Training: 15 minutes of core strength most days

Weekly Totals: 1 hours & 56 minutes

Attitude of Gratitude:

Recovery is on point with cribbage and Normatec recovery boots.
“All aboard” in Santa Fe, NM
Hiking in Red Rocks, CO with family on Thanksgiving morning!

Puzzling with family on Thanksgiving.
The rising sun was so beautiful as we departed Colorado.
Coming home to all the snuggles. 😍
So many snuggles 😍

  1. It looks like you had such a relaxing week with family! It sounds like it was a great trip/race from start to finish. Did the puzzle get completed?

My highlight was actually meeting a goal. I’ve been trying…and failing…at different health and fitness goals since covid started. However, I had had it with how lousy I was feeling around Halloween so committed to daily yoga and intuitive eating (I read a book about it) for the month of November and it was a success! Smalls goals, but measurable and attainable…I’m so proud of myself for finally finding some focus and commitment. I’m going to continue this for another month so I can start the New Year feeling fantastic.

Cheers to a successful end to 2021 πŸ™‚

    1. We did get the puzzle done (we actually did two πŸ₯°).

I’m SO glad you found something that worked for you and that you’re going to do it for another month! Cheers to finishing 2021 on a high note! πŸ₯°
